Councillor Cheryl Gaedtke for a strong Somerset Region
Over the past three days, I met Mayors, Councillors, Council staff from all states and territories of our great country.Equality with sharing the fiscal revenue pie with other levels of government is strongly supported by research and hard cold stats. Local Government and its services must be recognised and the associated increase in funding applied. The housing crisis, natural disaster management and future planning, climate change, energy resources and future needs, constitutional recognition of First Nations peoples, democracy today, the Ukraine war, were only some of the thought provoking presentations.
