I believe in open communication, active listening and a commonsense approach, ALWAYS!
After 39 years, 31 as staff and 2 terms as Councillor, I have enjoyed my journey and understand the importance of Local Government as the grass root level of government.

Taking Regional Priorities to ‘The House’When you’re in Canberra, it’s always worth stopping by The House (insider lingo for Parliament House 😉) to ensure our regional priorities stay front of mind for our Federal representatives.Rees met with local MP Shayne Neumann MP to present our new Regional Community Needs flyers — highlighting the key projects our communities have identified to support growth, liveability, and local services across our region. ✅A big thank you to our council partners (Ipswich City Council, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Scenic Rim Regional Council and Somerset Regional Council) for collaborating with us to shape these priorities. Together, we’re advocating for investment in our people, our places, and our future. 💪🌱To view our regional Community Needs projects, visit - www.rdaiwm.org.au/what-our-community-needs/#RDAIWM #RegionalDevelopment #CommunityNeeds #Advocacy #IpswichAndWestMoreton #WorkingForOurRegion #ParliamentHouse #Canberra #InvestingInPeople #StrongerRegions ...
